American Standard Brand is a North American pipe fitting manufacturer, sold under the name American Standard, Crane, Fiat, Sanymetal and Showerite, based in Piscataway, New Jersey, USA.
The company was formed as American Standard Americas of North American operations of kitchen and bathroom divisions of American Standard Companies during the outbreak of the company in 2007. Crane Plumbing and Eljer are merged into companies in the United States. 2008 created the 'American Standard Brands' group.
It is primarily owned by Lixil Group, with Bain Capital Partners holding minority interests.
By 2015, American Standard is recognized for the top spot for "Brand Familiarity" in the Bathroom Accessory category by Builder Magazine.

Histori
On February 1, 2007, American Standard Companies announced it would divide the three divisions. The plans include the sale of kitchen and bathroom divisions and spin off WABCO, the American Standard vehicle control division, while retaining the Trane Company.
On October 31, 2007, American Standard Cos announced it had completed the sale of kitchen and bathroom divisions to Bain Capital Partners, LLC. This includes the sale of the American Standard to Bain while the American Standard retains the right to use the name "American Standard" for HVAC products. American Standard changed its name to Trane on November 28, 2007.
Bain Capital created American Standard Americas from North American bathroom units and kitchen kitchens obtained from American Standard Companies. Bain sold a majority stake in America's American Standard to Sun Capital Partners on November 27, 2007.
In February 2008, American Standard Americas merged with two other pipeline equipment companies, Crane Plumbing and Eljer to create American Standard Brands. The Crane Plumbing Unit includes the former Universal-Rundle product line which Crane continues to support with repair parts. Crane also has a subsidiary in Canada, Crane Plumbing Corporation.
American Standard Brands donated more than 1,500 pipes and accessories for SBP to Hurricane Katrina relief work in 2011.
In June 2013, Japanese company Lixil agreed to buy American Standard Brands from Sun Capital Partners, thereby positioning Lixil to benefit from the anticipated recovery in the American housing market. Two months later after the acquisition by Lixil, American Standard Brands launched a new logo.
