The music video of the song features pop groups singing in the middle of a romantic and cheerful image; "The Sign" is described as a computer that produces ankh (also known as life key) and a djed (an ancient Egyptian symbol representing stability). This music video was directed by Mathias Julien.

In the middle of the picture is a small story about a man and woman sitting side by side until the man leaves, apparently leaving the woman. However, she returns with a rose and offers it to her. The woman kindly accepted and took her hand. However, the bright light shone on her face, keeping her away, leaving the man and dropping the rose in the chair.

The video was released in five different edits in different regions. In the US, the original edited version of the video is then re-edited, changing some of the images with Jenny in the foreground from black and white to color.
