Essa Academy (formerly Hayward School) is a college co-educational high school located in the Great Lever of Bolton area of ​​Greater Manchester.
Previously a community school run by Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council, Hayward School was converted to academy status in September 2009 and renamed Essa Academy. But the school continues to coordinate with the Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council for acceptance.
The school moved into a new building in 2011 which includes sports facilities available to students and local communities. In September 2014 Essa Elementary School opened in the Essa Academy courtyard in separate buildings.
